The Toledo, Lake Erie & Western Railway and Museum (TLE&W) is seeking functional industrial railroad supplies and equipment to support track maintenance, signal restoration, and ongoing preservation work across our Northwest Ohio operations. We primarily welcome donations, but we are also open to reasonable “for sale” opportunities on critical items that help keep historic railroad infrastructure operational.
Track Materials
- Rail (various weights and lengths)
- Other Track Material (OTM) — tie plates, joint bars, and spikes
Signaling & Crossing Equipment
- Crossing signals, flashers, or classic wig-wags
- Signal bungalows
- Decommissioned wayside signal equipment — Intermediate or Absolute Signal masts and heads
- Fixed signals, including concrete whistle posts (W posts)
Switching Equipment
- Manual switch machines and associated switch indicators
Tools, Mechanical Items & Hardware
- Old railroad hand tools
- Track jacks
- Mechanical (hand-operated) railcar movers
- Railroad wheels
- Locks with or without keys
